Financial Manager
The Finance & HR Manager is responsible for overseeing the organisation’s financial management, reporting, billing operations, cost control, and human resource functions. This role ensures financial accuracy, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and effective people management processes to support organisational growth and performance.
The role works closely with the Executive Director, Centre Directors, and external finance partners to strengthen financial governance and HR systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesA. Finance
1. Financial Reporting & Accounts Management
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely quarterly management accounts in collaboration with external accountants.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
Manage the preparation and submission of financial data, including invoices and account reconciliations.
Support efforts to streamline and accelerate financial reporting timelines.
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including GST implementation and reporting.
2. Billing & Revenue OperationsManage and continuously improve the billing process in coordination with Centre Directors.
Implement and monitor recurring billing and payment systems to improve efficiency and cash flow.
Oversee billing adjustments, hold requests, and parent communications where necessary.
Ensure accurate revenue tracking and timely collection of fees.
Monitor operational expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Lead initiatives to reduce key expenses (e.g., printing, materials, bank charges).
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
4. Management Reporting & KPIsTrack key financial and operational KPIs against targets.
Analyse variances and provide actionable insights to management.
B. Human Resources1. Performance Management
Centralise and oversee annual performance evaluations for full-time employees.
Develop structured performance assessment processes for part-time staff in collaboration with Centre Directors.
Maintain performance documentation and ensure consistency across centres.
2. Recruitment & OnboardingManage end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
Expand and optimise recruitment channels (e.g., Linked In and other job platforms).
Coordinate with management to identify hiring needs and workforce planning.
Process and manage MOE teacher permission applications as required.
Standardise and maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
Oversee employment contracts, onboarding documentation, and termination processes.
Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
5+ years of relevant experience in finance and/or HR management.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, billing systems, and cost management.
Experience in recruitment and HR operations.
Familiarity with GST and regulatory compliance requirements.
Experience in education or service-based industries is an advantage.
