Facilities Maintenance Technician

Join our dedicated team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our community is a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment. Your responsibilities will include repairing equipment, maintaining operating systems, and upkeeping the structure and grounds of our facilities in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, as directed by the Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently follow daily work instructions.
  • Conduct a variety of maintenance and repair tasks promptly and effectively.
  • Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment used in maintenance tasks.
  • Work with equipment and chemicals only if properly trained, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Clear snow and debris from walkways as necessary and assist with lawn care tasks such as mowing, planting, and shrub trimming.
  • Perform minor routine painting, plumbing, carpentry, and related maintenance using hand tools.
  • Keep certifications updated and participate in ongoing education through staff meetings, in-services, and online training.
  • Regularly inspect resident rooms/units for safety, order, and proper equipment performance.
  • Demonstrate patience, tact, and enthusiasm while interacting with residents, reflecting their maturity levels.

Education Requirements:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational/Technical School training or other certifications preferred.
Specific Skills Needed:
