Karenni Interpreter

Join Rapport International as a Karenni Interpreter, providing in‑person language services to our clients in Omaha, Nebraska. This independent‑contractor position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to use your cultural knowledge to serve non‑English speakers in the community.

• Provide accurate, in‑person interpretation for medical and community appointments.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Use online portal to print and upload vouchers; ensure printer access.
• Adhere to schedule as requested (PRN); maintain good availability M‑F 7 AM‑5 PM.
• Transport yourself to local appointments; no travel beyond Omaha.
• Maintain professionalism and cultural sensitivity at all times.

• Fully bilingual in Karenni and English.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Background check and drug screen completion.
• Prior interpreting experience and/or certification preferred.
• Access to a printer, and tech skills for online portal.
• Availability for part‑time, PRN scheduling.

• Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination or valid medical/exemption documentation.
• Independent contractor; hours not guaranteed.
