Somali Interpreter – Rapport International

Rapport International is a busy interpreting service provider seeking an in‑person Somali interpreter to serve local Nebraska clients. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to make a community difference.

Provide accurate in‑person interpretation for medical visitors, maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance, attend appointments locally with transportation, use the online portal to print and upload vouchers, and assist with client scheduling.

• Fully bilingual in Somali and English
• Excellent communication, listening, and medical terminology knowledge
• HIPAA‑compliant confidentiality and background check required
• In‑person interpreters only; must have local transportation
• Technical proficiency with online portal, printer access, and voucher handling
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• PRN (as needed) part‑time schedule; availability Monday‑Friday 7AM‑5PM required

This is an independent contractor position with flexible hours. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on availability and client needs.

Proof of vaccination is required. Submit vaccination proof or exemption documentation prior to interview. All medical information will be handled confidentially.
