About the role
We are seeking a Competitor & Product Intelligence Analyst to support our Product and Growth teams through deep, hands-on research and analysis. This role focuses on understanding competitor products, market positioning, user journeys, and product strategies to uncover insights that inform better business decisions. While the role involves product exploration, its core value lies in research, analysis, and critical thinking, rather than scripted testing or bug validation.
The ideal candidate is naturally curious, proactive, and comfortable working in an exploratory, less-structured environment. This role offers the opportunity to directly influence product and growth decisions by uncovering insights others overlook, working closely with cross-functional teams to shape how the company understands its competitive landscape and stays ahead in a fast-moving market.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on competitor products, websites, funnels, pricing, features, and market positioning
- Track and analyze competitor changes, launches, experiments, and industry trends
- Develop structured competitor comparisons and competitive intelligence reports
- Explore internal products from a real-user perspective to identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities
- Perform exploratory analysis to surface insights beyond predefined scopes
- Connect competitor learnings to internal product and growth strategies
- Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights and maintain research documentation
- Proactively identify new areas for investigation, continuously question assumptions, and propose research angles
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience
- Degree in Computer Science, or any other relevant fields
- Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills with the ability to link insights to business impact
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in competitor, product, or market research, exploratory QA, or business analysis
- Familiarity with digital products, SaaS, consumer software, or online platforms
- Self-driven, curious, and investigative mindset
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in evolving environments
- Experience in exploratory testing, product strategy, UX research, or growth analysis (preferred)
- Familiarity with fast-paced or startup environments
- Exposure to software, browser tools, or security-related products
