Job Purpose &

Position Overview

The incumbent will serve a dual role, as the CTAS Grant Project Manager/Recovery Support Worker. As the Project Manager will be responsible for management of the CTAS Grant PA#3, working closely with the AIHRC Program Administrator/Clinical Supervisor. The incumbent will be responsible for facilitating structured community outreach activities which meets the goals, objectives and intents of the AIHRC and CTAS Grant Project.

Job Duties /Responsibilities of the Project Manager
  • Coordination of the project activities with AIHRC staff.
  • Organize and Conducts planning meetings as necessary with collaborative partners.
  • Identify action and strategies to complete the activities of the timeline.
  • Review and analyze assessment information after each activity to monitor progress.
  • Provides on‑going communication with the AIHRC staff and partners.
  • Will be responsible for data collected and analysis and reporting.
  • Develops and maintains new and existing organization relationships.
  • Attend trainings/webinars/conference calls concerning project as necessary.
  • Manages project budget and fiscal responsibilities per Tribal and federal regulations.
  • Complete and submit all required grant reports by due dates.
  • Submits monthly report to the AIHRC Director on progress of the grant.
  • Performs other duties as assigned for the purpose of the funding sources.

Job Duties /Responsibilities of the Recovery Outreach Worker
  • Demonstrates the Winnebago Tribe’s core mission, vision, and values.
  • Become knowledgeable of the AIHRC program organization, philosophy, functions, policies and procedures, mandated by State/Federal Regulations.
  • Work closely with AIHRC administrator to support program goals.
  • Assist in coordination of recruiting substance abuse clients to participate program.
  • Initiate detoxification referrals, providing transportation to emergency care for detoxification services and follow up.
  • Organize and implement a community outreach activity providing community awareness and outreach activities designed to inform local schools about opioid issues.
  • Assist clients in learning Native American Customs/traditions, spirituality and healthy life values.
  • Provides intervention techniques to clients utilizing appropriate referrals and placements.
  • Responsible for keeping a record of each activity/event and furnish a monthly statistical and narrative report.
  • Assists clients in completing initial intake forms and assessment process and making sure intake process is accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Assist clients in application for Medicaid.
  • Initiate appointments, assisting clients with appointment planning.
  • Develops working relationships with community programs, inpatient treatment facilities, detoxification units and be knowledgeable of their application and intake procedures.
  • Will assist clients in the submission of their application to inpatient treatment centers, making sure applications are complete and all required documents are attached.
  • Assist counseling staff in data entry (Accu‑care) of clientele, when needed.
  • Maintain contact with the medical/surgical de‑tox ward for patient referrals.
  • Monitor record keeping procedures to ensure full compliance with federal rules and regulations governing client confidentiality (42

    CFR).
  • Transport clients to pre‑treatment quarters, detox center and inpatient treatment centers when necessary to aid in their recovery.

Qualifications/Skills
  • High School Diploma with two years of experience in a similar field or AA Degree is required.
  • Must be alcohol/drug free and abstain from alcohol/drugs while employed in this position.
  • Demonstrate and/or verify substantial knowledge of Winnebago Culture and traditions.
  • Must have computer skills with proficient in Word, Excel, publisher and web‑based data management programs.
