Assists director in managing and coordinating all aspects of scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification, and financial counseling related to patient accounts.

• education: bachelor’s degree in management, healthcare administration, finance or a related field
• 3 years experience in patient business services or registration or
• five +years patient business services or registration with prior supervisory
• experience required.
  
  Experience:
  
  required skills: knowledge of insurance pre-certification/pre-authorization, managed care, medicare/medicaid regulations (abn, msp,) and commercial insurance plans.
• strong understanding of hipaa hitech privacy and security.
• proficient in microsoft excel, and prior working experience in medical practice management software systems
• preferred skills: certified healthcare access manager (cham) a plus.
