Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the location, including meeting established goals and outcomes, ensuring regulatory and organization compliance, directing and coordinating work, maintaining financial and operational stability, and demonstrating leadership. It manages Resident Services by communicating, interacting and responding to customers effectively and accurately. The Administrator proactively communicates any necessary changes, issues and concerns to families, staff and other members of the medical community, responds quickly and openly to resident's physical, mental, and needs and ensures they are being met by self or others.

The role ensures effective marketing and communication for all service levels and practices active listening.

Manages Risk: Assigns responsibility to individuals for the daily management of infection prevention and control activities, provides equipment/supplies, sets expectations for data use to monitor and control infections, creates and maintains a culture of safety, ensures a safety program with scheduled inspections, protects resident rights and HIPAA compliance, supports a Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program, leads monthly QAPI committee meetings, sponsors performance improvement projects.

Manages Communication and Documentation: Expresses ideas clearly, concisely and effectively, seeks feedback on task performance, communicates internally, completes required documentation and reports, clarifies assignments, follows chain of command, reports issues or concerns.

Manages Financial and Operational Objectives: Works with department teams and consultants to oversee operations of the campus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, preferably in healthcare administration, with coursework in business and human resources.
  • Experience required depends on location.
  • License as a Nursing Home Administrator in the state of practice is required.
  • Other licenses as appropriate by state requirements and facility needs.
