Join Good Samaritan’s team as a Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) traveling within a 150‑mile radius of Bloomfield, NE. You’ll provide resident‑centered care under the supervision of a charge nurse and support multiple long‑term care facilities.

Varies - Salary Range: $18.50 – $28.00 per hour
- Premium Pay: $5.00 per hour on all hours worked
- Weekend Differential: $1.25 per hour
- Evening/Night Differential (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM): $1.25 per hour
The Medication Assistant (MA) provides resident‑centered nursing care and daily living assistance under charge nurse supervision. Duties include bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital sign collection, medication administration per nurse delegation, documentation, housekeeping, and encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs.
Responsibilities- Assist residents with basic health and personal care activities.
- Administer prescribed medications within scope of practice.
- Record vital signs and care outcomes.
- Communicate changes in resident condition to the charge nurse.
- Collect non‑invasive specimens and facilitate vital sign measurement.
- Maintain cleanliness of residents’ living areas.
- Encourage and document participation in wellness and recreational activities.
- Participate in departmental committees and task forces as needed.
- High school graduate or GED (preferred).
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long‑term care preferred.
- CNA certification required in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, or South Dakota; CMA or TMA certification required for Good Samaritan facilities.
- State‑approved Certified Medication Aide/Assistant course completion for applicable states.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance may be required.
- Completes yearly competency testing and maintains continuing education credits (minimum 12 hours annually).
- Minimum of 3 months (6 months preferred) of experience in long‑term care.
- Minimum 30 hours per month, including one weekend shift per month.
