We are seeking a highly experienced Investment Director to source, originate, and evaluate investment opportunities across multiple regions. The role involves building relationships with asset managers, conducting due diligence, managing deal structuring and negotiation, and overseeing syndication and liquidity management. The Investment Director will also provide investment performance reporting, represent the fund externally, and contribute strategic insights to support the fund’s growth and deployment plans.

- Origination of Investment Opportunities:
Focus on building new investment opportunities in new General Partners (GPs) and deal pipelines. - Investment
Activities:
Focused on deal analysis, execution, negotiation of term sheets, presenting to investment committee. - Syndication of Investment Opportunities:
Structuring of investments to allow third party investors and securitizations. - Liquidity Management:
Focus on cash management strategy, funding of investments, asset‑liability management. - Reporting
Activities:
Tracking of Investments, Tracking of Fund NAV, deployment plan, Reporting to the Board of Directors.
- Build a pipeline of new investment opportunities and future deals through engagement with asset managers via introductions or self-originated.
- Establish relationships with new managers and integrate them into the investment pipeline. Represent the fund at external events and participate in business development initiatives to identify potential opportunities.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence on new asset managers.
Activities:
- Assess deal opportunities when deals come on an opt-in/opt-out basis on business model, addressable markets, financial, deal structures, management teams.
- Discuss with Asset managers on deals, across different time zones such as Australia, Hong Kong, Europe, UK, and US.
- Assess ad-hoc and opportunistic deals with the team and prepare materials (Investment 1-pagers) for submission to the CEO and Investment Committee (IC).
- Respond to any queries from IC and correspond with asset managers should further information is required.
- Coordinate with the Legal and Ops teams on funding execution and receipts of capital call notices.
- Negotiate with Managers on term sheets and structuring of investments for newly originated pipelines.
- Respond investment decisions to managers regarding proposed deals.
- Structuring of new Investments to allow for third party investors.
- Discussion with banks and other family offices on potentially creating opportunities for a structured note or fund for participation in our investments.
- Focused on keeping cash deposits fully deployed in fixed deposits and interest yielding liquidity funds.
- Negotiate with banks on funding investments via loans and derivatives (e.g. usage of Swaps (Interest Rate Swap and Cross Currency Swap) and options to hedge interest rates or FX exposures.
Activities:
- Conduct routine GP updates on a quarterly basis to review investment performance, pipelines and trends.
- Ad-Hoc calls on with GPs on any market moving risks and monitoring requirements.
- Reporting on NAV (in collaboration with Ops team) in the board meetings.
- Monitoring of investments with the Research department on market driven news and sentiment that may affect the underlying investments.
- Planning and forecasting of deployment plans and strategic updates on direction of the fund.
- Bachelor’s Degree, Post-Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Banking, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in wealth management, private equity, or investment roles, with a strong track record in deal sourcing and execution.
- Strong ability to evaluate and structure investments, including due diligence, financial assessment, and negotiation of term sheets.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with proven experience working with asset managers, banks, and cross‑functional teams across multiple markets.
- Professional certifications such as CFA and CAIA will be an advantage.
- Good command of English language, both written and spoken.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous with eye for details.
- Must be willing to travel to regional offices in Hong Kong and Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur & Johor Bahru) at short notice.
