Agricultural and Commercial Loan Officer

Job Summary

We are a community bank looking for a motivated Agricultural and Commercial Loan Officer to become part of our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage and grow existing agricultural and commercial banking relationships while also developing new connections to expand our loan portfolio. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with potential clients in the communities we serve.

• Meet with clients and prospective clients to discuss exciting new loan opportunities and gather essential financial information.
• Prepare comprehensive credit memorandums for submission to management that clearly outline the details of loan requests.
• Cross-sell a variety of Bank products and services, including loans, deposit accounts, and electronic banking solutions.
• Represent the bank in public relations initiatives and community activities.
• Follow established bank policies, procedures, and relevant banking regulations.
• Seek out training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and performance.
• Maintain a positive and professional work attitude.

• Bachelor's degree preferred in finance, accounting, or agricultural-related fields.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of business financial statements and tax returns.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Self-motivated individual able to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting.
• Sales or lending experience is preferred, but we welcome candidates eager to learn.
