Location: Wayne

State Nebraska Bank & Trust is seeking a qualified Agricultural/Commercial Loan Officer to join our community-focused bank. This position is responsible for managing a well-rounded loan portfolio that includes agricultural, commercial, real estate, and consumer credit relationships. Primary duties include evaluating credit needs, facilitating financing for business and agricultural clients, preparing and reviewing loan documentation to ensure compliance with bank policies, maintaining accurate credit and lending files, and developing and sustaining referral relationships within the local community.

At this time, this position is focused exclusively on portfolio and client relationship management and does not include managing or overseeing employees. This position reports to the Chief Lending Officer (CLO).

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills, sound credit judgment, and the ability to develop and maintain effective client relationships. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of agricultural, commercial, real estate, and consumer lending practices are essential. A bachelor’s degree in business is required. A credit history screen is required. Candidates must reside, or be willing to relocate, within 15 miles of Wayne, Nebraska.

Hours:

This position is located at the Main Branch. Standard work hours are 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday, and 8:00am-12:00pm every third Saturday. Occasional adjustments to work hours may be required.
