Work closely with the Environmental Lead while still having the autonomy to manage your own responsibilities.
- Operate and maintain wastewater lagoons, UV disinfection, and odor control systems.
- Perform sampling, monitoring, and in‑house lab testing for wastewater quality.
- Support other compliance programs: air quality, stormwater management, spill prevention, and waste disposal.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, street sweepers, and aeration systems.
- Conduct EPA Method 9 visible emissions testing and help enforce dust control measures.
- Assist with safe handling, labeling, and disposal of chemicals, oils, and waste streams.
- Maintain accurate QA/QC records and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Serve as lab backup for tank readings when needed.
- Required
:
Nebraska Class I Wastewater Operator Certification. - Physically able to climb stairs/ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mechanically inclined with basic troubleshooting/maintenance skills.
- Preferred: prior lab or forklift experience, pesticide applicator license.
- Self‑motivated, safety‑conscious, and able to manage multiple priorities.
