Job Overview:
The Special Education Coordinator provides leadership, oversight, and support for special education services at the building level. This position ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, coordinates Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), supports special education staff, collaborates with general education staff and families, and promotes inclusive practices to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
The Coordinator works closely with administration, teachers, related service providers, families, and community agencies to ensure high-quality services aligned with district goals and Nebraska regulations.
The Special Education Coordinator will be placed on the certified teacher pay scale plus an additional stipend.
