Job SummaryLyza Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part Time Coding Educator to deliver engaging coding lessons for children aged 5 to 12, fostering their technical skills and curiosity through effective teaching and supportive learning environments.
Responsibilities- Design and deliver age‑appropriate coding lessons for students aged 5 to 12 that promote understanding and application of programming concepts
- Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and conducive learning environment that encourages student engagement and curiosity
- Build and sustain positive relationships with students and parents to support student progress and communication
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs and foster student growth
- Collaborate with team members to continuously improve curriculum and teaching practices
- Manage classroom dynamics to ensure productive and respectful learning experiences
- Participate in training and development sessions to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, preferably in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or science
- Experience working with young children in educational or enrichment settings
- Knowledge of Scratch Junior, Scratch, Microbit (Scratch and Makecode platforms), and Python programming languages
- Strong communication skills applied to teaching and engaging young learners
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and as a collaborative team player
- Enthusiasm for learning and experimenting with new teaching ideas and technologies
