- Salary: $40,150 to $80,300 Per Year
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students.
- Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations in one or more subjects such as English, mathematics, or social studies.
- Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress.
- Assign and grade class work and homework.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Confer with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved curricula.
- Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems.
- Enforce all administration policies and rules governing students.
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible.
- Guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic problems, or special academic interests.
- Supervise students.
- Bachelor's degree (preferred) or higher.
- Nebraska Teaching Certificate at all times during employment with endorsements required by NDE Rule 10.
- Professional exemption under FLSA.
- Experience in classroom instruction and basic computer skills with Macintosh or PC.
- Strong oral and written communication, organizational ability, and ability to work with diverse learners.
- General teaching and instructional skills.
- Supervise a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Maintain integrity, dependability, and professionalism.
- Adhere to state and district policies and the Nebraska Teacher Tenure Act.
