This tenure‑track role focuses on Modern and Contemporary Art History with a global perspective. The instructor will teach large lecture courses for undergraduates, offer upper‑division small classes, and develop new courses related to their specialization. Faculty are expected to maintain a sustained scholarly program and to serve on departmental, college, and university committees.

• Teach undergraduate courses in Modern Art and Contemporary Art at the global level.
• Offer upper‑division courses on focused areas of inquiry.
• Develop and revise courses within the area of specialization.
• Provide advising for Art History majors and MA students.
• Supervise MA theses and participate in departmental committees.
• Maintain active scholarly research consistent with tenure requirements.

• Ph.D. in Art History.
• Demonstrated or potential success as a scholar in modern and contemporary art with a global perspective.
• Commitment to and excellence in undergraduate teaching.
• Experience collaborating with colleagues.
• Ability to balance teaching, research, and service.
• Potential for effective integration of technology into instruction.
• Commitment to working effectively with students from intersecting marginalized groups.

• Knowledge of institutional practices in modern and contemporary art worlds.
• Successful scholarly accomplishments, including publications, conference presentations, grants, and fellowships.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues across disciplines.

Assistant Professor salary (2025/2026) ranges from $6,221 to $13,224 per month. The anticipated hiring range isبيب 6,884 to 7,022 per month. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
