Are you an experienced Gastroenterologist seeking a fulfilling locum tenens assignment? We have an immediate need for a dedicated Gastroenterologist to provide coverage for a healthcare facility in Nebraska. Here are the details of this exciting opportunity:

• Shift Schedule: 24-hour call shift from 7 am to 7 am.
• Duties:
  • Inpatient and outpatient gastro coverage.
  • Performing endoscopic procedures.
  • Handling outpatient calls.
  • Experience with ERCP is highly desirable.
• Full-Time Equivalent (FTE): 1.0
• Setting: Inpatient
• Required Procedures: Proficient in all endoscopic procedures; ERCP experience preferred.
• Patient Load:
  • 6-15 Admissions/Patients.
  • Cases include Endos, GI Bleeds, IBD Flare-ups, and Livers.
• Support Staff:
  • Dedicated endoscopy staff.
  • Two Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) available for rounding when needed.
  • APPs also manage clinics.
• Reason for Coverage: Unavailability of regular MD coverage.
• EMR System: EPIC

• Gastroenterology Training:
  • Residency/fellowship training in Gastroenterology.
  • Case log for the past 24 months (extended due to lower volume caused by COVID).
• Board Certification: Required in Gastroenterology.
• Licensure:
  • Active Nebraska License (Highly Preferred).
  • Will consider candidates needing to obtain a Nebraska license.
• Certifications:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
  • BLS (Basic Life Support).
  • DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration).
• Clean Malpractice/Background: Highly Preferred.
