Lecturer - Graphic Design

Overview

We are seeking a Graphic Design Lecturer with experience in motion graphics, strong graphic design capabilities, refined visual and typography judgment, and a genuine passion for teaching. The ideal candidate brings solid industry experience in visual communication and is able to mentor students in motion graphics, visual storytelling, and other core areas of visual communication.

• Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions across visual communication modules, especially those that are motion-based, with strong emphasis on graphic design acumen.
• Conduct lessons, critiques, and consultations while guiding students through project work and industry collaborations.
• Contribute to curriculum development, academic duties, including continuous improvement of teaching materials and learning activities.
• Support departmental or programme promotional activities.

• Strong graphic design foundation, with excellent skills in layout, typography, colour, composition, and visual hierarchy.
• Proficiency in motion graphics tools, especially Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, with strong working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Ability to guide students in motion-based visual communication, including timing, rhythm, transitions, pacing, and visual storytelling.
• Refined aesthetic judgment and strong visual taste across both static and motion design.
• Familiarity with emerging design trends in graphic design, branding, and digital content creation.
