BasePay Range
$24.00/hr – $27.00/hr
Duties and Responsibilities- Manage, monitor, and inspect underground placement and associated construction activities for assigned projects; oversee contractors and track daily production and material usage.
- Serve as the communication link with permitting jurisdictions, contractors, and sub‑contractors on site.
- Ensure compliance with project safety, permitting, and specification requirements.
- Direct all aspects of the contractor’s installation and construction of the Viaero Fiber Network.
- Coordinate material delivery and maintain required project documentation.
- Inspect construction crew activities and workmanship; document and record bore profiles with subcontractors.
- Manage permits, agreements, and roadside safety; oversee daily production reports and redline drawings.
- Create and maintain updated redline construction drawings and routing documentation.
- Maintain inspection forms, provide results and photos to the Project Manager weekly.
- Assist in fiber installation, splicing, and testing of fiber optic cables and network facilities.
- Perform utility locating and conflict standby as required for contractors excavating near existing network areas.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience inspecting OSP construction preferred.
- Fiber‑optic or construction experience and/or training preferred.
- Ability to travel and work outside the home area weekday and weekend as needed.
- Capability to perform manual tasks requiring walking, stooping, crouching, reachingществовать, lifting, digging, pushing and pulling; lift 60 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Minimum age 21; must pass pre‑employment checks (criminal, motor vehicle, substance testing).
- Proficient with iPad and laptop for job requirements.
- Experience with web‑based time and expense reporting systems.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Meticulous attention to detail and desire to excel.
