Indirect Purchasing Executive (9 months contract) - Central
Contribute to cost-savings/ cost avoidance and operational efficiencies on the broad aspect of supply chain expenses in compliance to Purchasing Policy.
Lead annual/ bi-annual tenders for the Transport segment, as well as spot-buy, including air and sea freight for outbound shipments to various APAC markets, and road trucking to Malaysia and Thailand.
- Manage the end-to-end RFQ/ competitive fair bidding process - including quotation analysis, benchmarking, negotiations, awarding, etc..
- Develop and implement category strategies for supply chain related purchases, ensure alignment with business objectives and procurement best practices.
- Conduct detailed spend analysis to support long-term procurement strategies and identify opportunities for value improvement.
- Conduct robust vendor negotiations to achieve optimal commercial and contractual outcomes.
- Lead sourcing activities, evaluate and select vendors based on the criteria as defined with internal stakeholders.
- Establish, maintain, and enhance supplier relationships through regular business reviews, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with suppliers to explore innovations and deliver value-add projects in line with business objectives.
- Anticipate and manage supply chain risks. Identify backup suppliers and develop mitigation plans to ensure the continuity of supply chain operations to support different markets across APAC.
- Performance analysis and procurement reporting on quarterly basis.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities which may reasonably be assigned.
- Experienced procurement professional specializing in Logistics/ Supply Chain field.
- Excellent problem-solving and strong negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving favorable commercial outcomes.
- Detailed oriented and analytical, with the ability to maintain high level of accuracy within a complex and dynamic business environments.
- Strong business acumen. Self-motivated and proactive, able to act as a sole focal point in liaising with multiple business entities. Capable to work autonomously in a highly fast pace business environment.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines.
- Passionate about professional growth and continuous development in the field of procurement.
