Wayne State College is seeking an experienced academic leader to serve as Associate Registrar. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and technologically proficient professional with demonstrated expertise in Student Information Systems (SIS) and other registrar-related software, such as Stellic and Coursedog. This key leadership role requires a strong understanding of the legal requirements and security standards governing student records, including FERPA compliance.
Successful candidates will possess exceptional organizational and data management skills, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. The Associate Registrar must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the institution and engage confidently with diverse audiences. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as this position collaborates broadly to support student success and institutional effectiveness.
Office Assistant II (Records and Registration)
Nature of Work
This is an advanced classification that performs complex clerical and reception work involving common office practices and procedures and requiring knowledge of standardized policies and procedures and confidentiality in the disposition of work matters.
Work requires some independent judgment, problem solving, and minor decision making skills based on established policies and guidelines.
Performs varied tasks such as maintaining and processing employee or student records and information and reception and clerical support for the office or department. Work includes producing reports and documents from rough draft or verbal instruction; transcribing and distributing meeting minutes; and coordinating appointments, meetings and travel arrangements. Limited leadership may be exercised over small teams of co-workers or student employees.
General supervision and oversight is provided to employees in this classification.
Examples of Work Performed
1. Answer the phone and greet visitors.
2. Duties related to student records and information.
3. Process mail, transcripts, enrollment verification and residency applications.
4. Order office supplies.
5. Assist with graduation preparations.
6. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from High School or educational equivalent and related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Microsoft Office Knowledge preferred.
2. Experience in Records and Registration.
3. Experience using People Soft.

Salary Information Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Attractive and comprehensive benefit package. Annual starting salary is $36,670.
