Location DescriptionMichael Foods, Inc. located in Wakefield, Nebraska is known as the Baseball Capital of Nebraska. Milton G. Waldbaum and Dan Gardner founded our egg-processing business in 1950 here in Wakefield. Our location raises chickens and produces tankers of liquid egg to be consumed by our processing facilities.
ResponsibilitiesPOSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for completing daily duties well prioritizing and handling a wide-range of other tasks that arise periodically through the day. They assist managers and supervisors upon request as well as perform other administrative duties as needed (handling department mail, etc.).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Compile, update, generate and distribute reports to appropriate parties
- Perform administrative duties as needed (answering phones, photocopying, faxing, etc.)
- Assist in ordering parts/repairs of plant radios and scheduling trouble shooting service calls
- Sort and inventory materials received and communicate with appropriate departments
- Aid with presentations (i.e. preparation, room set-up, projector, laptop, etc.)
- Help with Kronos reimaging biometrics
- Purchasing for all farm locations
- Utilizing spreadsheets to track paperwork and processes
- Stock Conference room fridge
- Create POs, Manage and compile paperwork (invoices and packing slips) for HR, Farms, & Safety
- Review vendor accounts and statements
- Resolve key fob problems
- Handle uniform ordering and issues
- Performs other duties as required
- Problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills a must.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Print Shop)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Professionally generates and formats reports.
- Organized and detailed-oriented.
- Ability to juggle a multitude of tasks.
- Must be professional in dealing with personnel issues including confidential information.
- Ability to maintain records and filing systems.
- Previously held an Office / Administrative position
