We are looking for a skilled Audit Manager to join our expanding accounting team in Hooper, NE. This hybrid position is ideal for a CPA who thrives in leading audit engagements, mentoring staff, and ensuring top-quality financial reporting. The Audit Manager will oversee audits from start to finish, guarantee compliance with U.S. GAAP and auditing standards, and work closely with internal teams and clients in a collaborative, professional environment.
This role offers hands‑on leadership opportunities while supporting your growth in public accounting.
- Plan, lead, and execute internal and external audit engagements for clients in Hooper, NE.
- Review audit documentation, financial statements, and reports for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all audit work aligns with U.S. GAAP, professional standards, and internal control policies.
- Mentor, supervise, and develop audit staff and senior accountants to strengthen the team.
- Identify potential audit risks and suggest improvements to processes and controls.
- Serve as the primary liaison for clients and stakeholders on audit‑related matters.
- Manage audit timelines, deliverables, and deadlines to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
- Active CPA license required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive audit experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, auditing standards, and internal controls.
- Experience in public accounting, internal audit, or regulated industries preferred.
- Proficiency with accounting and audit software, plus advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Hooper, NE part‑time.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Skilled in managing multiple audits and meeting strict deadlines.
