Job Summary

Operator USW in Nebraska City, NE. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, dayshift with some OT and callout. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, and the union bidding process applies. Union posting guidelines outlined in the current collective bargaining agreement will be applied prior to considering external candidates. The selected candidate can live in either the Nebraska City or Lincoln area.

Profile Summary

Maintain the pipeline and its supporting operational and monitoring equipment in compliance with regulations, company work practices, and safety standards. Ensure the reliability of equipment, and accurate measurement and quality of product transported through the system. Develop a positive working relationship with carriers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Monitor all product movements in to and out of the terminal and/or station via loading rack, unloading skid, or main line, including: mainline operations, transferring product to storage vessels; making valve lineups, operating refined product pumps; performing product sampling, running samples for analysis on in house lab equipment; measurement of location physical stock, meters, and additive variances. Input information into computer programs and perform daily facility inspections.
  • Assist drivers and customers, perform truck rack operations duties.
  • Assist technicians with maintenance duties and perform general maintenance duties as directed by the supervisor.
  • Participate on the facility emergency response team
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including System Integrity Plan (SIP) and OQ requirements and implement them into location work practices. Attend and actively participate in safety training meetings.
  • Coordinate and perform Damage Prevention and Public Education activities as prescribed in System Integrity Plan (SIP) Elements:
  • Safely and effectively perform damage prevention and public education tasks and procedures, while professionally and positively representing the Company to the community and other stakeholder groups.
  • Ensure One Calls, line locates, and Aerial Patrol activities are performed and/or completed in specified time frames.
  • Proactively work with One Call group to improve performance measures in mapping, county notes, and field cleared tickets.
  • Respond to after-hour calls as expected during scheduled on-call rotation.
  • Perform any other tasks that may be assigned.

Education
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's Degree in Petroleum Tech or related field preferred
Work Experience
  • Three years' experience in a related field preferred
