Position: The Fort - Nebraska City - Store Manager

Overview

Location: Nebraska City

Reports To: Chief of Retail Operations

Weekends: 01/01-10/30 50%; 11/01-12/31 75%

Wages: $41,000/year + commission

Job Description

Manage, train and oversee the Nebraska City retail location. You'll be in charge of 6 to 10 retail sales staff and the retail sales floor. Job requires a self-starter, self-manager and someone who sees tasks through to completion. You should have working knowledge of retail sales floor security to combat shoplifting. You will need to have an above average set of customer service skills that include how to handle difficult customers.

If you thrive in a team setting and you can be the team member that everyone respects, this position is for you! You must have excellent communications skills, both written and oral. You will need to be proficient with computers, Windows Office and keyboarding skills. Most importantly you must want to see the company thrive and succeed.

Duties
  • Manage and Train Sales Staff of 6-10
  • Work cohesively with turnkey, regional manager, CRO, CEO, merchandiser and senior management team
  • Oversee the proper handling of Special Orders
  • Maintain Inventory Levels
  • Manage sales staff spiffs programs
  • Assign and manage the cleaning & organization of departments and store room
  • Work directly with customers to close & increase sales
  • Open and Close the business (turn-key)
  • Schedule Staff
  • Hire, review and assist to terminate staff as needed
  • Sales floor merchandising and displays
Requirements & Skills
  • High school or GED or higher education
  • 3 to 5 years of retail store management
  • College education desired but not required
  • Firm understanding of MS Outlook & MS Office
  • Above average written and verbal communications skills
Beneficial

Working knowledge of retail sales, department management and western lifestyle product knowledge.
