Pay: $18.90/hr

Hours: 4:30pm - 1:00am or until duties complete;
two days weekly.

This position is first and foremost responsible for whole bird sorting and packaging. When whole bird duties are completed, flex will perform in positions needed as a flex to distribution and EV positions.

• Inspecting, sorting, and packaging of whole birds in cases
• May be required to trim wingtips
• Associate is required to help in other areas of production
• Assume vacant production positions assigned on a daily basis
• Other specific duties as required

• Ability to work efficiently at a fast pace in a variety of positions throughout production; meeting production speed requirements
• Required to master knife skills
• Able to discern and pay attention to quality of product
• Must be able to work independently at times and make decisions

• Preparedness to assist in other areas of production and work overtime as required

Physical Requirements / Environment:

• Rarely (0-1 hrs.): lift/carry (up to 45 lbs.), sit, squat, push/pull (up to 100 lbs.), balance

• Continuously (6-8 hrs.): stand/walk, simple/firm grasping, fine manipulation/knife work and triggering, lift/carry (up to 10 lbs.), push/pull (up to 10 lbs.), reach at shoulder height or slightly above, twist/turn, work around moving machinery, amongst poultry odor and blood as well as chemical fumes, talk and hear, use 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses, exposed to marked changes in temperature and humidity throughout varied plant environments (cold, hot and wet)
