Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to carry out UK-wide commissioning of high-voltage electrical plant. The role involves testing, commissioning, and energisation of transformers, switch gear, and associated substation equipment on transmission and distribution networks from 33kV upwards.
Key Responsibilities- Commissioning of power transformers, HV switch gear, protection, and control systems
- Pre-commissioning checks, functional testing, and fault finding
- Carry out energisation and site acceptance testing
- Review and execute commissioning procedures and test plans
- Produce accurate commissioning records and reports
- Ensure all works comply with safety rules, standards, and client requirements
- Proven experience commissioning HV equipment (33kV+)
- Strong knowledge of transformers, switch gear, and substation systems
- Willingness to travel and work UK-wide
- Relevant electrical engineering qualification or equivalent experience
