Fitter/Welder at our Navasota plant. Our products are an integral part of the supply chain that helps fuel our lives and our economy. Over the last 85 years, Trinity Industries has grown to over 6,000 employees strong with the common purpose of Delivering Goods, For the Good of All

Fitter/Welder position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team‑minded individual who doesn’t stray away from a challenge.

E ntry Fitter/Welder:

• This team member will use jigs/holding fixtures to lay out parts according to blueprints, layouts, schematics or work orders, and use welding equipment to join the material.
• Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications and performs minor maintenance to equipment.
• Transfers product using overhead cranes
• Operates overhead cranes.
• Operates MIG welding equipment.
• Uses basic measuring devices, such as tape measure, and has working knowledge of shop math.
• Performs housekeeping and maintains all required records.
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required:

• Proficiency in MIG welding
• Overhead crane experience
• Must be able to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math
• Safely and efficiently perform all essential functions
