We Are Looking For
The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling wire and cable components under close supervision. This role focuses on following standard work procedures and following blueprints provided while performing basic quality checks to support production processes.
What You'll Do
- Assemble wire and cable components according to provided blueprints and standard procedures while following instructions
- Perform basic quality checks under close supervision to ensure components meet quality standards, including visually inspectingconnections and absence of damage or defects
- Report issues or deviations to leads or supervisors with minimal interpretation
- Assist in preparing materials for assembly by cutting wires to specified lengths and stripping insulation as directed, using basic hand tools under close guidance
- Support the documentation process by labeling assemblies as instructed, ensuring traceability and record-keeping accuracy
- Collaborate with supervisors to gather necessary tools and materials for each assembly task, seeking clarification when needed
- Participate in routine maintenance of assembly tools and equipment by reporting any malfunctions or wear to leads and supervisors and assisting in basic cleanup after use
- Maintain an organized work area by keeping aisles and workstation clear, properly storing materials, and adhering to safety and organizational standards. Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety training sessions.
- Follow safety protocols by wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety training to prevent workplace hazards
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided. Previous assembly or production experience in the electronics industry preferred
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
