Job Description SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN IV

Our work depends on Systems Technician IV joining our team to you will play a critical role in planning, executing, and managing complex training exercises that combine LVCG (Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming) elements to provide an immersive and realistic training environment for military and other security-related scenarios.

You will be responsible for coordinating various technological systems, simulations, and live assets to ensure seamless and effective training sessions.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Systems Technician IV, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Mission Training Complex - Korea and the Joint Multinational Simulation Center – Indo Pacific (JMSC-IP). You will play a crucial role in ensuring integrated, realistic training environments for U.S. Army forces in the Pacific, directly enhancing readiness and mission success.

  • Support simulation-based training by configuring, maintaining, and integrating Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) federate systems and related C4I systems.
  • Collaborate with exercise planners, simulation operators, and Mission Command Information System (MCIS) users to ensure seamless interoperability during distributed training events.
  • Drive simulation execution by troubleshooting federates, managing databases, validating runtime infrastructure, and ensuring accurate exercise configurations across multiple locations.
  • Utilize technical expertise with Linux, Windows Servers, VMWare, WARSIM, JCATS, VBS3, and MCIS systems such as CPCE, AFATDS, and JCR/JBC-P to support exercises and mission-critical operations.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your systems administration and simulation expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Technician IV must have:

  • Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science in a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, or experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience in simulation systems, system administration, or IT integration (military or defense-related experience strongly preferred).
  • Certifications: Security Plus-CE
  • Required Technical

    Skills:

    • Experience configuring and supporting JLCCTC federate systems and simulation tools such as WARSIM, JCATS, DxTRS, VBS3, and MUSE.
    • Knowledge of MCIS integration for CPCE, AFATDS, AMDWS, TAIS, JCR/JBC-P, GCCS-A.
    • Familiarity with HLA/DIS protocols, Runtime Infrastructure (RTI), and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux/Windows environments, networking, and virtualization (VMWare).
  • Security Clearance Level: Active Secret clearance required with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

    • Superb communication skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms on WARSIM.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in information system troubleshooting and support.
