Data Governance Manager

We are seeking an exceptional Manager to lead and scale our Data Governance program. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities who can design governance operating models, drive cross‑functional accountability, and implement sustainable processes that improve data quality, compliance, and business value realization. The ideal candidate possesses outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, excels in structured problem‑solving, and can effectively prioritize and organize complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives.

• Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise Data Governance operating models aligned to client business objectives
• Establish and operationalize cross‑functional Data Governance Councils
  , forums, and decision‑rights structures
• Define and implement clear RACI frameworks across Data Owners, Data Stewards, IT, business SMEs, and executive stakeholders
• Develop comprehensive data governance playbooks
• Design and execute data governance communication strategies to drive enterprise adoption
• Define escalation pathways and approval workflows for governance decisions

• Identify and formalize priority KPIs, critical data elements (CDEs), business rules, and ownership models
• Design and implement business‑focused data quality rules
  , controls, and monitoring frameworks
• Establish issue management and remediation workflows
  , including rule approval processes
• Track and report governance KPIs and data quality metrics to executive leadership
• Champion policies for data security, access management, retention, and regulatory compliance

• Document current‑state MDM processes, ownership, and "lay of the land" assessment
• Drive cross‑functional data harmonization initiatives
• Define enterprise attribute standards, business definitions, and permissible values
• Govern master data change requests (attributes, records, rules) and workflow changes
• Collaborate in the architecture, design, and development of scalable MDM solutions
• Ensure alignment between MDM governance processes and broader enterprise data standards
• Provide strategic guidance on the selection, configuration, and optimization of Data Governance technologies (e.g., Collibra, Alation)
• Lead metadata ingestion, curation, and business glossary development efforts
• Redesign data catalog standards and integrate catalog workflows into demand delivery processes
• Drive adoption of the data catalog as a "single source of truth" across business and IT
• Partner with stakeholders to gather and document workflow requirements for governance platforms

• Develop and execute comprehensive implementation roadmaps for Data Governance programs
• Collaborate with executive and operational stakeholders to embed data ownership and accountability
• Identify training and enablement needs to support governance adoption
• Support change management efforts to ensure sustainable behavioral and process shifts
• Deliver measurable business value by reducing rework, improving efficiency, lowering data inaccuracies, and minimizing regulatory risk
