Overview

As a Behavior Technician at BCI, you’ll help children with autism learn, grow, and build communication, socialization, and self-help skills through a form of play-based therapy known as applied behavior analysis (ABA). Responsibilities- Work with kids (clients aged 1.5 years to 18+, primarily between the ages of 2-8) with autism and special needs in their homes or in one of our centers.
- Apply ABA-based strategies to support learning and development of communication, socialization, and self-help skills through play-based activities.
- Education requirements:
High School Diploma or GED. - Transportation requirements:
Reliable transportation; valid driver’s license and personal vehicle preferred. - Schedule requirements:
Part-time M-F 3pm-7pm or Full-time 8am-6pm or 9am-7pm. - Earn starting pay at $23/hr and up with experience; eligible to earn (RBT) certification.
- Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 (on or before the first day of employment).
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Nice-to-have:
Bi-lingual English/Spanish; studied or worked in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, health science, or a related field; prior experience with children (babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, etc.).
Physical requirements vary by client assignments. You may be asked to push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds and move quickly as needed. It is necessary to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.
