Financial Analyst, Risk Manager/Analyst
About Us
Hybrid work schedule, 3 days in the office and 2 days remote in Massachusetts. The department location may change in the second half of the year from 36 Summer Street, Natick MA to 120 Flanders Road, Westborough MA.
OverviewProvides administrative support to the Credit Analysis Department and assists in the preparation of credit analyses. Performs any functions, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and co‑workers.
Responsibilities- Prepare weekly Senior Credit Committee distribution package, including completion of Agenda and Minutes. Prepare Minutes for quarterly Loan Portfolio Review meeting.
- Spread a variety of financial statements and prepare cash flow analyses.
- Assist Credit Analysts in the analysis process, including obtaining industry information, providing spreads and cash flow tables, and other support.
- Train with an assigned Senior Credit Analyst to further developset.
- Under the guidance of assigned Senior Credit Analyst, analyze financial statements and provide interpretative analysis for use in loan decision‑making. May be assigned underwriting for renewals, modifications, or new money requests.
- Underwrite existing credits as part of the Bank's routine portfolio monitoring. This includes mortgage and investment reviews as well as support of the annual portfolio monitoring reports presented to Senior Management, the Board, and other Bank Committees.
- Work with credit colleagues, lenders, lending assistants, and other departments on a routine basis, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills throughout.
- Support special projects within the Credit Analysis Department as required.
- Perform all duties in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and co‑workers.
- Associate's Degree or equivalent is required
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- 1‑2 years business experience is required
- Prior banking experience is preferred
- Knowledge of accounting is required. Knowledge of credit analysis and banking is preferred.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software, including the Bank's Commercial Loan Origination System.
