Musical PIT (Piano) Musicians for Student Directed Musical (Pippin) at Natick High School, Natick Public Schools. This is a part-time, project-based role to provide music accompaniment for high school performers and overall music for the spring musical.

Starting Date: February 6, 2026
Responsibilities- Provide music accompaniment for high school performers and overall music for the spring musical (Pippin).
- Study and learn the musical score; attend full run rehearsal and sitzprobe; attend production week and all performances.
- Read musical scores; participate in keyboard programming, setting up rigs, and performing with click tracks as needed.
- Collaborate with district staff and production team; maintain organization and meet deadlines for production tasks.
- Wear a simple costume for performances unless already owned by pit players; adhere to production guidelines.
- Education:
Music Education, Music Performance, or Music Theatre degree preferred. - Professional Certification: competency in required musical instrument (piano; may require acoustic guitar, cello, violin).
- Specialized Knowledge: commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice in engagement and cultivation; experience with keyboard programming and performance with production team preferred.
- Preferred Experience:
Experience with Google Suite and Power School; training available for the right candidate.
- Appropriate instrument (piano; access to piano provided). Other tools: phone, intercom, personal computer, scanners, printers, etc.
February:
- Fri Feb 6 – SITZPROBE 3:30pm–6:30pm (or Run Play, 3 hours)
- Fri Feb 13 – Full run with mics/costumes
- Mon Feb 23 – Full show 3:30pm–6:30pm
- Tue Feb 24 – Full dress 3:30pm–6:30pm
- Wed Feb 25 – Full dress 3:30pm–6:30pm
- Thu Feb 26 – Full dress 3:30pm–6:30pm
- Fri Feb 27 – Show call 6:00pm; show 7:00pm–10:00pm
- Sat Mar 7 – Matinee and evening shows; schedule varies
- Total: 34 hours (32 hours plus 2 hours prep)
Physical Requirements
Note:

- Move about classrooms and school facilities; operate computer and office equipment; read on screen/print; communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
- Multitask, meet deadlines, and support students with life skills as needed.
- Lift up to 25 lbs; noise level is moderate to loud.
- Formal application; evaluation of education/experience; oral interviews; reference check.
- Strong record of work performance required; successful completion of CORI/SORI checks.
