We’re Hiring: CDL Driver (ClassA)
We are looking for a dependable and safety-minded CDL Driver to join our team. In this role, you’ll transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites and company yards, playing a vital role in keeping our paving operations running smoothly and efficiently.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have- A valid CDL license (Class
A) and clean driving record - Proven experience operating commercial vehicles in construction or a related industry
- A strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (e.g., dump truck, flatbed, lowboy, or trailer) to transport materials and equipment
- Load and unload trucks using proper methods to prevent shifting, damage, or injury
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and DOT compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage reports, and trip documentation
- Follow delivery schedules, GPS directions, and instructions from dispatch or supervisors
- Secure loads using chains, binders, tarps, or straps as needed
- Comply with all DOT, state, and federal transportation regulations
- Assist crews with labor or site tasks when deliveries are complete (as needed)
- Report any mechanical issues, delays, or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicle
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Valid Class A CDL
- Clean driving record and current DOT medical card
- 2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred
- Experience hauling construction materials or equipment is a plus
- Familiarity with load securement, tie‑down procedures, and safe operating practices
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and assist with loading/unloading when required
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed
