Overview
CORT Tradeshow and Events is hiring immediately for non-CDL drivers in Nashville, TN. Drivers are key members of the delivery team, representing CORT to customers and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for the safe and timely delivery, setup, and pickup of furnishings and equipment at trade shows and event venues. Drivers operate box trucks or sprinter vans, supervise temporary associates onsite, and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with client expectations and safety standards.
Production leaders may also assist in the warehouse with loading and unloading trucks or performing essential warehouse duties.
Pay: $22 / hour depending on experience
Schedule: Schedule will vary based on the needs of the business, weekends are required

- Loading Trucks:
Inspect furniture to ensure acceptable condition. Load truck safely to protect products from damage during transport. Ensure accurate loading order of items to meet delivery specifications. - Operations Planning & Communication:
Attend pre-delivery meetings to review logistics, timelines, and client expectations. Maintain regular communication with the operations team and/or district service representatives to report and/or resolve any issues and ensure efficient operations. - Truck inspections:
Complete Pre and post trip truck inspections. Clean and prep trucks for future shifts. - Documentation and service logs:
Complete all required written documentation. Effectively operate an electronic logging device and accurately maintain all records of duty as determined by FMCSA. - Driving:
Drive box trucks or sprinter vans on delivery routes for company benefit in a safe and lawful manner. - Deliveries:
Install and assemble furniture at tradeshow or event venues based on floor plans or client instructions, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and aesthetic presentation. Clean, touch up, or perform repairs as needed. Use show site mobile app to ensure and document accurate delivery. - Pick-ups:
Inspect furniture for any customer-inflicted damage, load in trucks. Ensure no product is left behind at venues. - Provide onsite customer service:
Interact professionally with clients during deliveries and setups, addressing questions or concerns and ensuring a positive experience. - Supervise temporary labor:
Instruct temporary associates how and where to deliver, pickup, load, or unload products onsite. Ensure that work is being performed as per the clients’ requests and safely. - Perform warehouse duties as needed:
Manually load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, and docks. Put items away and organize within the warehouse. Unbox & clean products. - Other duties as assigned
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including regular weekends, nights, and/or early mornings, and varied hours
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid and current driver’s license in the state of residency
- A minimum of 3 months professional experience driving a 24-foot box truck or larger commercial vehicle; 1 year of experience preferred
- Physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs and in all weather conditions; ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner
- Ability to comply with Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration regulations
- Ability to maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate, which includes passing a physical and drug screening
- Ability to successfully pass a road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements
- Acceptable MVR per CORT’s Safe Driving Standards
