The Marketplace team in Direct to Consumer builds the discovery platforms behind Affirms search, deals, and merchant details experiences. Our mission is to help shoppers find the right merchant and financing for their needs. You’ll partner closely with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to scope work, writethumbnail clean and well‑tested code, review PRs, and ship new functionality iteratively. • Work on tasks that contribute to the team’s projects and goals.

• Previous work or internship experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale; experience with Python or Kotlin.
• Familiarity with building blocks of distributed systems, and technologies like AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to take a simple problem or business scenario into a solution that interacts with multiple software components, and execute it by writing clear, well‑tested, and extensible code.
• Comfort navigating a large code base, debugging others’ code, and providing feedback to other engineers through code reviews.
• Demonstrated ownership of your growth, proactively seeking feedback from team, manager, and stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills that support effective collaboration with our global engineering team.
• Position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Employees new to Affirms typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirms focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure that is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, and job‑related skills.

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)

USA base pay range (CA的钱 WA amongst NY, NJ, CT) per year: $130,000 - $170,000

USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: رجل 115,000 - $155,000
