This position is responsible for creating and supporting software running on various platforms used in Tractor Supply stores.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
  • Develop and/or configure, build, review, and unit test software/solutions.
  • Meet with technical leads, architects, and vendor partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify and resolve system issues, and ensure the system is implemented as designed and in adherence to the implementation guidelines.
  • Partner with the business analysts, other developers and designers to conceptualize, review, refine and validate solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Assist in QA efforts on task worked by providing input for test cases and supporting test case execution.
  • Provide 24x7 rotational technical support to solve business problems and document resolution.
Required Qualifications

Experience:

2-5 years’ work experience in a software development environment (Java preferred).

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or software engineering from an accredited college or university. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
  • 2–5 years of full stack experience building multi-tier web applications using Java/JEE with modern front‑end frameworks (e.g., React/Angular) and core web technologies. Experience developing and deploying RESTful services/APIs including integration with enterprise systems. Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, with preference for experience supporting retail or other high‑transaction applications.
  • Build and maintain accessible, high‑quality mobile and web experiences by translating product requirements and UI/UX designs into features using modern React Native/React.js patterns.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology is preferred.
  • Good understanding of development tools such as Ant, Maven, Eclipse, and JUnit.
  • Knowledge of object‑oriented programming is preferred.
  • Experience implementing design patterns, especially model‑view‑controller, inversion of control, and dependency injection is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Java web technologies and web and application servers.
  • Knowledge of version control systems is preferred.
