This role is ideal for hands‑on engineers who enjoy designing and building new systems from the ground up.

• Define and evolve standard software‑engineering practices, architecture, and procedures.
• Design, develop, debug, and ship Cloud Scale Distributed Systems and Services.
• Own significant features in Oracle Cloud’s Database Service offerings.
• Mentor teammates, provide technical guidance, and lead projects individually and as part of a team.
• Work with Java, Python, Terraform, and other languages as needed; embrace simplicity and scale.

• BS or MS degree (or equivalent experience) relevant to the functional area.
• Strong background in distributed systems, databases, and/or storage infrastructure.
• Experience with Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an agile, rapid‑pacing environment.
• Capability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
