We are seeking a Lead AWS Data Engineer to join the team supporting the development and enhancement of Client's SCORE application.
This role involves full-stack development and the design of scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that integrate seamlessly into the existing application.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS services, backend and frontend technologies, and data integration from diverse sources.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of scalable, cloud-native solutions within the SCORE application.
- Perform full-stack development using NestJS, Angular, and PHP.
- Integrate data from various sources such as APIs, databases, and streaming platforms into centralized enterprise applications, data lakes, or data warehouses.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement and manage AWS services including Aurora, Postgres, Redshift, S3, Dynamo
DB, Cloud Front, SES, API Gateway, Step Functions, Event Bridge, and AWS SAM/Cloud Formation. - Apply Dev Ops practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and containerization.
- Ensure data security through encryption, IAM policies, and access controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and subject matter experts to refine requirements and deliver functional software.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with AWS, including services such as Redshift, Aurora, Postgres, S3, Dynamo
DB, Cloud Front, SES, API Gateway, Step Functions, Event Bridge, and Cloud Formation. - At least 5 years of experience with NestJS, Angular, and PHP.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Git Lab or similar version control systems.
- At least 2 years of experience optimizing data storage, retrieval, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Minimum 5 years of experience integrating data from various sources into centralized systems.
- At least 2 years of experience with AWS Serverless, cloud security, Dev Ops, and containers.
- Advanced knowledge of data security best practices, including encryption and IAM.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate understanding of CI/CD, unit and integration testing, and cloud-based solution delivery.
- Experience working in hybrid work environments, particularly in Nashville.
