Walnut & Rosewood Youth Academy in Nashville, Tennessee, is a secure Youth Academy providing trauma-informed residential care for youth with complex behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs. Serving youth in a structured residential setting, the program integrates clinical treatment, education, counseling, family services, and life skills development to support accountability, emotional growth, and successful transition to community-based settings.
Aboutthe Role
The Facility Administrator serves as the managing officer for Walnut & Rosewood Youth Academy and is responsible for the overall leadership, operations, and performance of the program. This role ensures a safe, therapeutic, and compliant environment while overseeing all program components, including education, clinical services, counseling, family engagement, staffing, and day-to-day operations.
The Facility Administrator provides strategic leadership to advance the program’s therapeutic model, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive continuous quality improvement while fostering strong relationships with staff, community partners, and oversight entities.

- Serve as the managing officer for Walnut & Rosewood Youth Academy, ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and structured environment for youth and staff
- Direct and oversee all program components, including education, clinical services, counseling, family services, and daily facility operations
- Ensure program service delivery maintains safety standards and aligns with Youth Opportunity policies, practices, and contractual requirements
- Lead implementation of the program’s therapeutic model to promote emotional stability, educational success, and positive youth development
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health, fire, safety, licensing, contractual, and accreditation requirements
- Lead performance and quality improvement initiatives and continuous quality improvement processes
- Maintain licensure, contract compliance, and accreditation standards
- Recruit, interview, hire, and supervise facility staff in accordance with Youth Opportunity HR policies
- Manage operational functions including purchasing, budgeting, contracting, and fiscal oversight in alignment with company procedures
- Report incidents, concerns, or compliance issues as required by Youth Opportunity and contractual obligations
- Bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral sciences required
- Master’s degree in a human services-related field preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with at-risk youth and families
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience required
- Experience administering a residential or community-based program preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage for results, lead teams, and implement change
- Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage competing priorities
- Must be in good physical health and emotionally stable
- Able to actively engage with youth, participate in physical interventions, and transport youth or staff as needed
- Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by the state
- Must pass evaluation of physical techniques and certification exams
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Frequent travel required
- Must maintain a valid state driver’s license
- Must meet all state criminal background check requirements
- Maintain punctuality, attendance, and professional conduct
- Report any incidents or concerns related to youth safety, boundaries, or inappropriate conduct
