The Maintenance Technician will directly impact the guest experience by ensuring that all physical aspects of the hotel—rooms, amenities, and facilities—are operating at peak performance. From resolving in-room issues to keeping systems like HVAC and lighting running smoothly, your hands‑on approach and attention to detail will help create a safe, comfortable, and well‑maintained environment that enhances the overall guest stay and supports long‑term operational efficiency.
HOWYOU’LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE
- Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding area, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC functions, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
- Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
- Respond to guest requests for service according to company policy. Keep records of rooms completed.
- Program phone equipment according to hotel needs.
- Observe equipment and utility meter readings on a daily basis.
- Stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer.
- Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Timely resolution of guest service requests with a calm, professional demeanor that reflects HM Alpha values.
- Consistently monitors equipment, maintains records, and follows up on preventative maintenance tasks.
- Maintains open communication with the Front Desk and Chief Engineer, working collaboratively to address property needs.
Minimum of 1 year of hands‑on maintenance or repair experience in a hotel, commercial building, or similar environment.
Experience with:
- Routine upkeep of hotel facilities, pool areas, and public spaces.
- Monitoring daily equipment operations and utility meter readings.
- Programming and maintaining hotel systems.
- Managing small inventories of tools and maintenance parts.
- Documenting completed repairs and guest service tasks.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training or coursework in general maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related fields is a plus.

Pay Rate: $20/hour
