Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join our growing team in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, capable of working in a team environment, and dedicated to advancing their skills from entry to master-level certifications. This role offers the opportunity for professional growth and advancement within our organization.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance, including oil and filter changes, tire balancing and rotation, and cooling system flushes
  • Inspect and test drive newly delivered vehicles for damage and drivability issues
  • Accurately and efficiently complete work outlined on the repair order, ensuring all repairs are performed within the promised time frame
  • Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order, saving and tagging parts as necessary
  • Sell lubrication, safety inspection, and other related services while maintaining customer records
  • Communicate with the parts department to acquire necessary parts
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and keep up to date with technical bulletins
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and take care of dealership-owned tools and manuals
  • Perform other related duties as required, including in-service upfits to customer trucks
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Knowledge of and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations (such as hazardous waste disposal and OHSA)
  • Possess a complete set of quality tools (specialty tools will be provided by the company)
Bonus Skills/Abilities
  • CDL (Minimum Class B with Air Brake)
  • Volvo / Mack Certifications
  • Cummins Certification
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
  • Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with odors present
  • Ability to inspect vehicles and determine required repairs
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
