Mechanical Resource Group, an HVAC, hydronics, sales, and service organization, is seeking a Service Maintenance Technician
. The Maintenance Technician role is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance on assigned maintenance agreements within the allotted time.

- Perform preventive maintenance in a professional, high quality, timely manner
- Perform preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance
- Capability of handling heavy schedule of maintenance work
- Perform required documentation for each call, recording recommendations, repairs, accurate readings, and observations. Have client sign necessary paperwork
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including RTUs, chillers, air handlers, VRF/VRV systems, and split systems
- Replace and repair components
- Additional duties as required
- 1-3 years of experience in maintenance HVAC systems OR relevant military experience
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret plans and manuals
- Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations
- Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time
- Strong problem solving and communication skills, both oral and written
- A team player who works well with others and contributes to the group
- Flexible schedule to include willingness to work overtime hours when required
- Must possess a valid Tennessee State driver’s license and a safe driving record and be able and willing to operate company-owned vehicles
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, crawl, and sit. May be required to work in restricted spaces. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and greater than 60 pounds using appropriate equipment
- Must possess EPA universal certification or get an EPA universal certification within 90 days
