We are currently seeking to fill the role of Security Shift Supervisor for mixed-use complex located in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Direct supervision, training, and evaluation of the security personnel's performance.
- Ability to take initiative on making recommendations where applicable.
- Responsible for ensuring that all respective post orders and relative site protocols are being properly maintained, updated, and relayed to the security officers.
- Conduct on-the-job training of the security officers which includes, but is not limited to, post order reviews, routine responsibility changes, emergency situational responses, and specific client needs as applicable.
- Responsible for the numerous supervisory and operational needs of the organization.
- Oversight of the respective shift's activity as well as of its assigned security personnel.
- Conduct briefings at the start of each shift to inform security personnel of pertinent information regarding site security activity and matters.
- Be responsible for the scheduling of personnel to cover the respective work shifts as well as of possible special event assignment coverage at our client offices.
- Be responsible for leading and/or assisting with situational investigations and/or the reporting of dangerous or otherwise unusual and suspicious activities and circumstances
- In addition, they will be responsible for responding to and deciding on what actions should be taken, based on the respective situation, its known facts, and position limitations.
- Valid TN security guard license
- A minimum of two (2) year work history in a security supervisory role
- Provide friendly and exceptional customer service for the business
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to write accurate and concise reports for team members and supervisors
- Ability to handle stressful situations and make sound judgement calmly and effectively
- Experience in scheduling, security operations, and other functions of the security industry are a plus.
- Associate's Degree, or its equivalent, or related prior experience in the corporate security industry and/or military is preferred.
