Position:
Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol in Nashville, TN
.

You will serve and safeguard clients in various industries, including Education. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher-education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain high visibility to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control points and respond to calls for assistance with clear communication and a customer-service mindset. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Daytime shifts include Wed 09:30 PM – 06:00 AM, Thu 09:30 PM – 06:00 AM, Fri 09:30 PM – 06:00 AM, Sat 09:30 PM – 06:00 AM.

• Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security procedures and site-specific policies, and assist with emergency response activities within an educational campus setting when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, including access concerns, disturbances, medical calls, and/or fire alarms; notify appropriate campus contacts as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, and perimeter routes to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy issues.
• Monitor access points and common areas; observe unusual conditions and assist students, staff, and visitors with directions, information, and policy reminders in a professional manner.
• Complete detailed reports and logs for patrol activities, incidents, and observations; communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws;

• Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
