As a Security Officer - Federal Unarmed Patrol in Nashville, TN
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to alarms and/or access concerns, and communicate clearly with personnel and visitors while delivering strong customer service.

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, authorizations, and/or visitor credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor assigned areas for unusual conditions, policy violations, and/or security-related hazards, and report findings through established channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing directions and coordinating notifications to appropriate personnel.
• Complete routine and incident-related documentation, including activity logs and reports, with accurate and timely details.
• Assist with screening of vehicles, packages, and/or deliveries as directed by site procedures, and escalate items of concern per post orders.
• Support government facility operations by enforcing site rules, directing foot and vehicle traffic as needed, and maintaining a professional presence.
• Operate communications equipment such as radios and phones to coordinate patrols, request assistance, and/or relay information.
• Participate in drills and/or required training, and follow emergency procedures for events such as fire alarms, medical incidents, severe weather, and/or evacuation orders.

• Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
