Active Tennessee unarmed guard license is required (verified via Tennessee public records). Valid driver’s license required.
Pay: $21 to $23 per hour, depending on experience.

AboutThe Role
As an Unarmed Security Professional, you will ensure the safety and security of our clients and premises. Under the guidance of the Site Supervisor, Field Supervisor, and/or Regional Manager, you will implement security protocols, monitor activities, and respond to incidents with professionalism and attention to detail. This position is on our special events team and is for ad hoc (as needed) work.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing
- Perform patrols and security checks focusing on intrusion prevention.
- Monitor entrances and exits, screen for prohibited items, and ensure overall security.
- Respond to alarms and incidents with appropriate actions based on situation assessments.
- Comply with Tennessee’s unarmed security laws, maintaining high standards of operation.
- Employ de‑escalation techniques to manage conflicts, prioritizing non‑confrontational resolutions, especially in nightlife settings.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, providing support and information.
- Adhere to the established dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
- Demonstrate punctuality, arriving on time for assigned shifts.
- Conduct yourself courteously and professionally with all clients, visitors, and colleagues.
- Enforce access control procedures as needed and maintain records accurately.
- Maintain and report on the functionality of security equipment.
- Document incidents accurately, preparing detailed reports.
- Assist with investigations by providing timely information.
- Provide truthful and timely data, including incident reports and shift reports.
- An active and clear TN Unarmed security license.
- Experience conducting patrols, surveillance, and managing security incidents.
- Knowledge of security equipment and its proper usage; school‑setting familiarity a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work.
- Understanding of emergency protocols and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with access control procedures and identification verification.
- Excellent documentation and report‑writing skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
