Position: SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Overview

The Quest Sales Representative is a full-time inside sales and support position emphasizing sales, account management and customer support. Responsibilities include answering calls, taking leads, supporting the outside sales team, collaborating with operations, acting as a liaison between local markets and the customer, and ensuring that daily customer support objectives are met. In many cases, the Sales Representative serves as the primary customer-facing contact.

The Sales Representative must demonstrate strong organizational, administrative, and inside sales skills.

Descriptive note: This description reflects duties under the supervision of the National Director of Inside Sales with matrix reporting to the Local General Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of the National Director of Inside Sales with support from the local management team, determine needs and communicate benefits of product, services, features, pricing, and additional offerings to existing and new customers as appropriate.
  • Prospect and generate leads with new and existing accounts.
  • Develop ongoing relationships with existing customers and new prospects.
  • Learn new product offerings and communicate effectively to customers.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Ops teams to meet objectives and goals on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare complete, accurate, and timely paperwork to ensure efficient processing of customer transactions.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with all Quest Events markets.
  • Represent Quest Events values and business ethics consistently.
General Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Quote generation and revision requests from clients and others as necessary
  • Monitor payment status and requirements for upcoming bookings
  • Primary point of contact between customer and operations team until the job becomes an actual order
  • Secondary point of contact for assisting the operations team and follow up
  • Timely confirmations of orders to maximize lead time for the organization
  • Gather layouts and any other information needed for installations
  • Uploading all information into the ERP
  • Keep a clean and organized office space
  • Logging into the account coordinator call queue every day
  • Informing manager when logged out during business hours for unusual reasons
Requirements

  • Ability to maintain a professional, customer-facing appearance and attitude.
  • Strong working knowledge of all products offered by Quest Events.

  • Willingness to assist in projects beyond daily scope as the need arises.
Experience and Education
  • Minimum of 2 year’s Event Industry or Hospitality experience
  • Priority given to inside sales/account management experience
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Preferred experience with ERP/CRM programs
  • Associates degree or higher preferred

This position is also responsible for developing strategic working relationships with existing clients for the purpose of retention and revenue growth. Ideal candidate has a strong professional presence, is tenacious, and has ability to adapt, organize and multi-task. Knowledge of CRM maintenance preferred. Understands general reporting processes including expenses. Works well independently, motivated, strong relationship-building skills, belief in excellence, results driven, strong planning skills.
